Draw & Code was founded with a mission to use emerging tech to enable beautiful and meaningful experiences. We started with a combination of projection mapping and AR in Lava Bud; an R&D into innovative stage performance.

Draw & Code's first forays to the US saw us showcasing in Silicon Valley. This helped us to make new contacts in the tech world and inspired the development of our own original IP. This included SwapBots - an award-winning AR game and toy.

The next two years expanded our horizons bringing plenty of work with big brands. Client commissions from Red Bull, Hyundai, Nokia and Paralympics GB sat alongside R&D projects such as an innovative volumetric VR music video.

We led the immersive content for the sold-out Terracotta Warriors show in Liverpool, generating £78m for the city. Work for Mercedes-Benz, Philips, Liverpool Football Club, Warner Bros, John Lewis & Partners and Unilever graced the studio.

The decade began with big moves as we installed a new CEO, although like many companies our world was turned upside down by Covid. Our work with Sony Music on a Pink Floyd web AR experience scooped a prestigious Telly Award.

With investment secured, we can turn our experience in XR into new concepts and products and the team grows as a result. A new division, Draw & Code Labs, opens in Malta. Our work with Google on an AR experience wins at the Webby Awards.
