Draw & Code are thrilled to be highlighted on an important new list of companies shaping the world of augmented reality. Nestling between Niantic, creators of Pokemon Go, and Sphero, the brains behind BB8 in Star Wars – we are certainly in good company! The full AR Landscape infographic was published on Venture Beat earlier this week – read about it here.
Augmented reality is the hottest technology in the world today and sector experts Super Ventures have plotted the ‘AR Landscape’ to guide readers through the companies shaping this fast-moving industry. Super Ventures is the world’s first dedicated augmented reality incubator and early-stage venture fund. Based in downtown San Francisco, the partners in Super Ventures are some of the most experienced minds in the burgeoning AR industry.
This acknowledgement comes hot on the heels of the successful launch of SwapBots on Kickstarter. The augmented reality toy and game that is being developed in the Draw & Code studio is close to meeting the campaign’s funding target with weeks left to go. It’s been an intense month with SwapBots touring a diverse selection of events in the US including Toy Fair New York, GDC San Francisco and SXSW in Austin.
Next in the calendar is San Jose’s SVVR (Silicon Valley Virtual Reality) is the organisation and event that brings together some of the world’s leading immersive technology companies. Now in its fourth year, the 2017 SVVR Expo runs from March 29th-31st at the San Jose Convention Centre and if you are attending you can find SwapBots in the AR Area.
