Draw & Code are collaborating with The Critter Shed to create an augmented reality art exhibition that opens in Liverpool this week in 92 Degrees Coffee. Using mobile devices, we will be inviting guests to use their phones and tablets to bring the artwork to life.
This will be the first exhibition in 92 Degrees Coffee, the new coffee shop and micro-roastery located on the corner of Hardman Street and Hope Street in Liverpool. The launch event will be held from 6pm on Thursday April 9th with complimentary drinks and stunning Critter Shed artwork for sale.
The launch also features the brilliant Draw the Line who will be handing out the pens and pencils to get our guests scribbling for themselves; this will be a truly interactive art experience!
The Critter Shed are an independent printing press company producing comics and hand screen printed products. They collaborate with some of the finest independent artists from around the world to produce indie comics and hand screen printed products. They aim to give talented artists the opportunity to have their work seen and into the hands of real fans.
The boffins at Draw & Code have used augmented reality to allow the Critter Shed artists to bring their intricate artworks to life. Chris from The Critter Shed said that “We didn’t know much about the technology before this collaboration but seeing what Draw & Code have done, it has opened up a whole new avenue of what is possible.”
“We are so thrilled to see some of our contributors’ work becoming interactive; their work can be enjoyed in a whole new way.”
To experience these spectacular artworks for yourself make sure you head down to the launch this Thursday April 9th.
